Sarah focuses her practice on estates and elder law and on small business and non-profit law.  She is experienced in the fields of estate planning, disability planning, guardianships and conservatorships, public benefits, nursing home and senior housing issues, and estate administration and disputes.  She is also a certified guardian ad litem for incapacitated adults.  Sarah is prepared to assist with business formation, contract drafting and disputes, debt collections and creditor’s rights, employment contracts and terminations, leases, and intellectual property protection. Sarah is familiar with the industry-specific needs of Realtors and landlords, veterinary and animal-related businesses, and health care professionals.

Sarah is admitted to practice in all state courts in Virginia and the Bankruptcy Court of the Easter District of Virginia. Sarah graduated from Pace University School of Law, magna cum laude, and from Virginia Tech, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Art in interdisciplinary studies. At Pace School of Law, Sarah competed with the Animal Law Moot Court Team and the Quinnipiac Trial Advocacy Team. She served as an editor of the Pace Law Journal and a research assistant for Prof. David Cassuto, with whom she co-published two articles. Sarah fenced epee for the Virginia Tech Fencing Club.

Sarah is native to Hampton Roads and is proud to serve her community in her career and through civic organizations.  Sarah currently serves as President of the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association and on the conference planning committee for the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  She is also a member of the Virginia Creditor’s Bar Association and several local bar associations.  To benefit the community, Sarah serves as on the board of the Rotary Club of Oyster Point and on committees for the Peninsula Taskforce on Aging and VersAbility Resources, Inc.  Sarah also enjoys local book clubs and recreational sports.
